Note: In the engagement with the Panarch's guards below the party was not trying to kill the guards so much as subdue them. But sometimes in FG little details like that escape us Gms. So, I'm ruling that a "kill" in this post when the party fought the Panarch's guards, was actually just a knock out or other incapacitating, but non-lethal blow.
[Recap] The Wheel Turns... When last we left our brave adventurers, they had gone to the Panarch's palace to try and warn the Panarch of some sort of threat against her rule, yet due to Maer's actions and a few hundred greedy and most excitable masses, a riot had resulted in the very streets around the palace, prompting the gates to slam shut, sealing the Palace from any threat while scores of mounted Whitecloaks closed in with gleaming lances and pristine cloaks fluttering in the late autumn breeze to crush the rebellious lot!
[Some minutes later] ... The two groups of whitecloaks marched their mounts at a methodical walk into the crowd, crushing wounded under-foot and pressing bodies together, piercing them with their lances. The screams of the wounded and the dying filled the air. The mob fought back valiantly, managing to drag down a couple off their mounts, but it was all to no avail against these battle-trained warriors.
WickerCat (Maer Loch): sounds like Jaben
Vaid Al' Hain: Light blast those idiotic Whitecloaks
Eliesanna: "Come on! We better get out of here!" Eliesanna pulled at Vaid's sleeve.
Suddenly the noise entered their own street when a group of ten or so cutthroats, mobsters, and beggars, ran blindly towards Maer, Vaid, and Eliesanna, screaming in fear. One of them at the rear of the fleeing group dropped to her knees at the head of the street, her hands clutching her chest, it being pierced by a heavy crossbow bolt. She pitched forward and lay sprawled on the cobblestones.
Vaid Al' Hain: Oh, uh...
Jingo: some of this is recap right now...
Jingo: so no typing
Vaid Al' Hain: ok
Jingo: stuff you already typed in emails
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): gotcha
Then around the corner pursuing those fleeing on feet were perhaps a half dozen burly whitecloaks on horseback, weapons at the ready!
WickerCat (Maer Loch): alrighty...completely unfamiliar to me, but righto!
WickerCat (Maer Loch): an alley to go into?
Eliesanna: "Uh oh..." Eliesanna said as the fleeing beggars drew nearer.
Vaid: Light! Vaid thought to himself... This night just did not want to end. He hesitated, perhaps a little longer than he should. As he turned to leave though, a pang of guilt crossed him. When had he started wanting to be a hero?
Vaid: "Should.... should we try to do something?" Vaid suggested conscientiously: feeling stupid for even suggesting it immediately afterward. There was nothing they could do, short of fighting with white cloaks, and he didn't seem to remember liking making enemies of the fanatics. "No.. really... now's our chance to make it into the palace: during all this madness. It's just we don't blo.. (looks at Eliessana) we don't know what to do when we get inside.
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): hehe
Maer: Maer frowned. "I don't think we should leave the Apprentice Wise One by herself; we must find her and make sure she is okay."
Vaid: "Well, that would make sense enough... if we knew where she was. Have you seen her Maer? "
Maer: He shook his head. "No... But right now..." he drew out a spear in a flourish as the whitecloak soldiers charged ever nearer down the alleyway, crushing the innocent (and not so innocent) under foot. An excited light came into his eyes, as he shifted his weight to the balls of his feet... "There is a tune on the pipes and dance to be danced!"
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): what a great intro
Campaign saved.
WickerCat (Maer Loch): dude, Howard is brave...
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): yeah
Jingo: Well... to be honest... I wrote that because I thought Maer would be playd as an NPC here.
Maer Loch: we shall dance the spears and spill blood of legend!
Jingo: But it's something howeard would have written...
Vaid Al' Hain looks at eliessanna questioningly
Vaid Al' Hain then draws his sword and stands beside maer
Vaid Al' Hain: Eliessanna, get back
Peasant: Help!
Beggar: We'll all die!
Maer Loch: silence!
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): initiative?
Vaid Al' Hain: Hurry!
Jingo: Yes roll init
Vaid Al' Hain: Vaid's head whirled, trying to think of what he could do
Vaid Al' Hain: Initiative [1d20+1 = 13]
Vaid Al' Hain: I like the double-click
Eliesanna: dobule click on init to roll jon very simple
Maer Loch: [1d20+9 = 18]
WickerCat (Maer Loch): oh...
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): nice
Eliesanna: You mean you are light-blinded enough to stay?!
Eliesanna: Blood and ashes man! We'll be skewered!
Eliesanna backs up and draws her showbow
Maer Loch
Maer Loch: light blinded? I will protect you!
Vaid Al' Hain: Eleisanna, I really thin you should leave
Vaid Al' Hain Looks at her sternly
Eliesanna shakes her head firmly
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): Jared, you are an FG master
Vaid Al' Hain: At least stay behind me?
Eliesanna: Fiznak has taught me the blade... I'll not let him down *shifts her beautiful gaze towards the oncomming threat*
WickerCat (Maer Loch): YEAH!!
Campaign saved.
Vaid Al' Hain Sighs inwardly
Maer Loch: indeed, she handles herself well.
Jingo: just click on target when attacking, it'll show up in my tracker who you clicked on... if you're going through with this afterall.
Maer Loch: Fiznak has taught her well
Jingo: Go Maer!
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): remind me... Fiznak likes the aes sedai, right?
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): of course
Jingo: and everyone likes Eliesanna. She's too beautiful not to like.
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): right
Vaid Al' Hain: you going to go jon?
Maer Loch: oh, right...I'm Maer
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): hehe
Maer Loch: I charge...
Whitecloak: ok go! :)
Maer Loch: Melee Attack [1d20+8 = 25]
Jingo: drag your token. you're in control!
WickerCat (Maer Loch): i get a charge bonus, right?
Vaid Al' Hain: nice
Jingo: +2 to hit -2 to AC.
Jingo: You hit roll dmg.
Maer Loch: [4]
Maer Loch: hold on
Jingo: sorry he's not totally converted.
Maer Loch: [1d20+4 = 9]
The blow lands true but glances off the mans armor!
Maer Loch: lame!
Vaid Al' Hain
Vaid Al' Hain: Can I embrace the source and move?
Vaid Al' Hain: Maer! you'll be surrounded!
Maer Loch: you shall lose the dance of spears tree killer!
-> Vaid Al' Hain: yes for now. i'll look up rule later.
Vaid Al' Hain: runs up behind maer to get his back, thinking frantically for a moment... but the lure of the source was too great.. .He embraced it as he ran
Campaign saved.
Vaid Al' Hain: done
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): although I probably would have had it embraced during the warmup
WickerCat (Maer Loch): oh right, I forgot he was a wilder...
Whitecloak: Longsword [1d20+4 = 21]
Longsword [21]
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): ouch

Whitecloak: Longsword damage [1d20+5 = 25]

Jingo: owwwwwww.... sorry. he rolled 20.!

WickerCat (Maer Loch): hA! that's awesome
Maer Loch: yay for the whitecloaks
Vaid Al' Hain: hehe
Jingo: you have 5 convic maer.
Maer Loch: cool

Whitecloak: Die peasant scum! The light take all you flea bitten darkfriends!
Maer Loch: OH!
Maer Loch: i thought that was Sean you were talking to
All around you the din of fighting fills your ears
Maer Loch: sorry...I'm not used to this yet
Maer Loch: I'll spend convic
And of hoarse cries of the wounded.
Jingo: step 1. close any other windows
WickerCat (Maer Loch): sorry
Maer Loch: no other windows open
Jingo: step 2. lock the door and ignore wife.
Maer Loch: she's not here...
Maer Loch: get on with it
Jingo: step 3. mark off curr convic on main sheet.
Maer Loch: what does it reduce it to?
Jingo: jus' playin' with ya!
Vaid Al' Hain: to a hurt
Campaign saved.
Jingo: No... to a wounded because it was 25.
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): oh
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): ouch
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): so he's stunned, and -2
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): K, what's next?
The blade crashes down onto your shoulder blade! Pain explodes in your eyes.
Whitecloak drops a cross bow and draws his sword
Eliesanna: Maer! No!!
Eliesanna shoots her arrow
Maer Loch: AH! the sweet pain fills his mind and allows him to concentrate with even more intensity.
Eliesanna: , Shortbow [1d20+5 = 20]
Eliesanna: , Shortbow damage [1d20+2 = 17]
The barb flies true embedding itself above the man's breast plate in his kneck sending him reeling off of his mount.
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): nice work
Maer Loch
Maer Loch: wow
WickerCat (Maer Loch): she's awesome
Jingo: You are wounded unless you want to spend another convic to get rid of the condition and attack. otherwise no attack this round due to stun.
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): heck yeah
Maer Loch: k
Vaid Al' Hain flourishes his blade, looking for an opportunity to strike
Maer Loch: can i reduce it later to the same if I get hurt more?
Vaid Al' Hain: There's so many of them
Jingo: Y oucan get rid of a wounded condition at any time by spending a convic
WickerCat (Maer Loch): well, I should just wait then
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): Do I really have one to start?
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): If so, I'm spending one now
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): Jared, whose turn is it?
GM: WC there.
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): ah, the white thing
GM: yes.
Campaign saved.
The whitecloak moves past the wounded Maer and slashes downwards at Vaid.

GM: Longsword [19]
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): hit!
GM: Longsword damage [1d20+5 = 18]
Longsword damage [18]
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): ouch!
Maer Loch: struggles with the intensifying pain as the blood runs freely down his back. He longs to lash out with his spear, but his arm just won't respond as he wishes.
GM: It's True20!!!
Vaid Al' Hain Steps back at the last second, dodging the blow
Vaid Al' Hain But the tip catches him
Jingo: And thus ends the mighty adventurers...
Vaid Al' Hain: I'm using conviction!
Vaid Al' Hain: Jared, do I really have 1 wound already?
Jingo: no
Vaid Al' Hain: before we started?
Vaid Al' Hain: ok
Vaid Al' Hain: am I hurt at all?
Jingo: that was from play testing. sorry about that... no you're fine.
WickerCat (Maer Loch): I better not let Howards character die. he'll be angry...
Vaid Al' Hain: k, I use one convic
Vaid Al' Hain: done there
Another white cloak moves up and slashes downwards at the already wounded Maer.
GM: Longsword [1d20+4 = 18]
Longsword [18]
GM: Longsword damage [1d20+5 = 7]
Longsword damage [7]
Whitecloak tramples the peasont under foot skewering it.
Vaid Al' Hain
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): do they weigh around 200 lbs?
Maer Loch grimaces as the Whitecloak's blade bites into his leg. They will pay, filthy treekillers!
Jingo: with armor on... about... some more. .. some less
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): what about the ones on the side of me?
Whitecloak: [1d20 = 2]
Whitecloak: [1d20 = 11]
GM: the one to your right seems al ittle skinnier... the other one a might bit thicker.
Vaid Al' Hain: You fiends!
Vaid Al' Hain Considers using his sword for a moment, then realizes he is outclasses
Vaid Al' Hain weaves air together and knocks him into the water
Vaid Al' Hain: is this a bridge?
Jingo: alleyway
Vaid Al' Hain: lame
Vaid Al' Hain: I'll try my sword
Jingo: there's a wooden window though... just about there.
Campaign saved.
Vaid Al' Hain: Ok, I'll stuff him through it, and make it look like I hit him through it
Vaid Al' Hain: It's a level 3
WickerCat (Maer Loch): ha!
Vaid Al' Hain: so, DC 16
WickerCat (Maer Loch): it'll look like Chinese film wires
Jingo: arms of air?
Vaid Al' Hain: (the spell says it doesn't have a DC, which doesn't make any sense)
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): yes
Eliesanna: Reflex save [1d20+5 = 7]
Vaid Al' Hain: should be reflex
Vaid's blade leapt out slamming into the man causing him to careen off his horse and smash through a window nearby, sending splinters of wood everywhere
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): haha... awesome
Whitecloak Tramples down the flea-bitten beggar.
Vaid Al' Hain feels the anger building inside of him
Whitecloak: You'll pay for that darkfriend! By the light you shall!

Whitecloak: , Shortbow damage [1d20+2 = 11]
Vaid Al' Hain: Darkfriend? I'm no darkfriend...
Vaid Al' Hain: I'm not the one who tramples peasants!
An arrow flashed from Eliesanna's blow slamming into the armor of the one behind Vaid, but he was well trained and stayed in his saddle.
Maer Loch
Vaid Al' Hain: I didn't know they were mounted ... nice
Maer Loch: , using the pain to focus, feels the strength welling inside of him. He grips his spear and lashes out with ferocious speed at the whitecloak
WickerCat (Maer Loch): dangit...
Campaign saved.
Maer Loch: [1d20+8 = 22]
Jingo: hit!
Jingo: click on wc pls.

Vaid Al' Hain: uberlame
Whitecloak shfits and takes the blade on his armor, causing sparks to appear
Vaid Al' Hain: Maer, this isn't looking good! Not good!
Whitecloak: Longsword [1d20+4 = 16]
Longsword [16]
Maer Loch: courage, my wetland friend!
Whitecloak: Except you're wounded right maer? that's -2 to AC.

Whitecloak: Longsword damage [1d20+5 = 10]
Longsword damage [10]
Vaid Al' Hain: Right, courage... Well, I might feel better if I knew what I was doing!
Vaid Al' Hain: Hey! (at the white cloak that rushed past him to eliesanna)
Whitecloak charges towards Elisanna!
Whitecloak: This wench will die!
Whitecloak: Longsword [1d20+4 = 21]
WickerCat (Maer Loch): opportunity attack!

sean (Vaid Al' Hain): yeah
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): it's better to move...
Whitecloak: Longsword damage [1d20+5 = 6]
The blade crashes into her bow, snapping it in two and cuts into her shoulder.
Vaid Al' Hain
WickerCat (Maer Loch): uh oh!
Vaid Al' Hain: Eliessana!
Vaid Al' Hain Looks around frantically for something to throw
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): rocks?
Campaign saved.
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): helmets?
WickerCat (Maer Loch): brb
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): Discarded weapons?
He sees a few lose cobble stones and roof slates along with weapons, helms and the like lying on the ground.
Vaid Al' Hain Picks up a discarded axe (?) hefts it quickly, then throws it at the man
Vaid Al' Hain Then, guiding it with weaves of air, he sends it straight into his back
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): wait, what's the point? It's the same difficulty as throwing a weapon normally
Jingo: There is a small handaxe nearby from a local peasant, or longswords are what the whitecloaks carry.,
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): that's tupid
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): I'll use a longsword from a fallen whitecloak
Vaid Al' Hain: Throws Sword [1d20+3 = 17]
Vaid Al' Hain: (I'm not using a weave, btw, it doesn't even help)
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): hit?
Jingo: yes.,
WickerCat (Maer Loch): back
Vaid Al' Hain: Thrown sword in the back! [1d20+4 = 5]
Vaid Al' Hain: awww
Vaid Al' Hain: lame
Vaid Al' Hain: Eliessana... No!
WickerCat (Maer Loch): cuts his pants off!
Vaid Al' Hain: Runs up to help her
The sword was thrown well, but simply didn't have enough force to carry that far and it fell bouncing of his armor adn then clanging to the cobblestones
Whitecloak: Longsword [1d20+4 = 6]
Longsword [6]
Vaid Al' Hain: miss!
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): sucka
Whitecloak: Longsword [1d20+4 = 18]
Longsword [18]
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): hit :(
Whitecloak: Longsword damage [1d20+5 = 8]
Longsword damage [8]
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): ha
WickerCat (Maer Loch): convic!
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): it bounces off my chest
WickerCat (Maer Loch): can I do that?
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): hehe, or maybe my armor
Elisanna dropped the splinters of her bow, whipped out her rapier and darted it into his chest.
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): My hurt is 10+... I'm awesome
Campaign saved.
Jingo: warriors can spend 1 convic to erase all hurts maer.
Jingo: it's their core ability
Maer Loch: oh...
WickerCat (Maer Loch): can I do that next turn?
whenever you like.
Whitecloak: Rapier [1d20+6 = 22]
Whitecloak: Rapier damage [1d20+2 = 22]
Maer Loch: i'll take the hurt for now
Whitecloak: Rapier damage [22]
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): wow
Jingo: That was on the WC from Eliesanna...
Quickly jabbing into his open mouth the man fell of his horse gurgling.
Maer Loch
WickerCat (Maer Loch): ewww
WickerCat (Maer Loch): same guy
Vaid Al' Hain looks at her suddenly as the man dies between them
Vaid Al' Hain feels emasculated
Maer Loch: [1d20+8 = 18]
hit.
Maer Loch: [1d20+4 = 24]
Jingo: Also maer you're at -2 on all attacks for being wounded. You can spend a convic to attempt a recovery of a wound at any time.
Jingo: desribe it.
WickerCat (Maer Loch): here I go
Whitecloak climbs out of the window and brushes of splinters.
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): he should talke 1d20+1 damage for getting shoved through, btw
Whitecloak: [1d20 = 17]
... and then collapsed, you can see that whatever he landed on was sharp and pointy. It looks like a kitchen knife.
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): haha... I'm going to do that more often... that's awesome
Campaign saved.
Vaid Al' Hain
Vaid Al' Hain Turns to face the man behind him... impatient because he couldn't save E., his thoughts merge with the source
Maer Loch looked at the whitecloak in the eye and thrust with all his speed to the right, feinting a strike to the mans shoulder.
Vaid Al' Hain: I'm going to hit him the same way as I did the other guy, only I'll just send him back a couple squares and make him fall down
Vaid Al' Hain: DC 16 Reflex
Whitecloak: Reflex save [1d20+3 = 6]
The man's hands are yanked free of his reins and he topples backwards over his horse and falls down.
Vaid Al' Hain: Smashing Damage [1d20+1 = 8]
Maer Loch plunged the spear into the man's leg, severing the arteries in a spurt of blood that sprayed the nearest whitecloak.
But his armor protected him from any terrible fate.
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): lame ;(
Jingo: Nice one Mear!
WickerCat (Maer Loch): gross, eh? that gave me the willies
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): hehe
Whitecloak: picks himself up and picks up his sword, adjusts his helmet and moves toward Vaid with a venom in his eyes.
Whitecloak picks himself up and picks up his sword, adjusts his helmet and moves toward Vaid with a venom in his eyes.
Whitecloak: What is this eh? Some foul trickery?
Vaid Al' Hain tosses his sword from hand to hand
Vaid Al' Hain: Trickery? ...
Vaid Al' Hain: none
Vaid Al' Hain: perhaps you are no match for me?
Vaid Al' Hain: Did you skip your training?
Whitecloak: Perhaps your tongue should be removed for insolence!
Vaid Al' Hain: zealot?
Vaid Al' Hain: Well, you've already removed your own soul... you're good at it
Vaid Al' Hain: have at you!
wipes the blood from his eyes and attacks Maer the blade slashing low and then high.
Whitecloak: Longsword [1d20+4 = 17]
WickerCat (Maer Loch): have at you...heh!
Longsword [17]
Whitecloak: Longsword damage [1d20+5 = 25]
Longsword damage [25]
Vaid Al' Hain Feels the anger welling inside of him... He could burn them all... all of them
Jingo: sudden death unless yo udrop it to a wound
WickerCat (Maer Loch): woah!
Maer Loch: I do it
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): dude.... bad luck!
Eliesanna: He's not alone! You'll have to deal with me too!
Campaign saved.
WickerCat (Maer Loch): i just spent one to removing my hurts as well
Eliesanna: Let's take him togetherVaid!
Vaid Al' Hain Looks at eliesanna and smiles for a second
Vaid Al' Hain then it fades
Vaid Al' Hain: but. I've got him covered
Vaid Al' Hain black thoughts whip though Vaid's head
Vaid Al' Hain He could kill this man instantly
Jingo: note that you can do a finesse strike, adding their toughenss from armor to their defense but subtracting it from toughenss. Good for rapiers.
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): ooh, nice
Eliesanna: The Lord Fiznak has taught me sword play and he has learned from the best.
Eliesanna: Rapier [1d20+6 = 19]
Maer Loch feels the sting of a well polished blade as the whitecloak sliced into his side just aboce his hip.
Eliesanna: Rapier [19]
Vaid Al' Hain: yeah, I know
Eliesanna: Rapier damage [1d20+2 = 8]
Vaid Al' Hain: That's... uh...
Vaid Al' Hain watches as she easily dispatches the Whitecloak
The man shifted catching the blade on his greave.
Maer Loch
WickerCat (Maer Loch): jeeze, she rocks
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): no damage?
Maer Loch: [1d20+9 = 12]
Jingo: she didn't go for finesse that time and low damge.
The WC parries Maer's spear, batting it away easily.
Vaid Al' Hain
Vaid Al' Hain Can't help being pleased that he has a second change... filled with confidence, he uses the sword as it was meant to be used
Maer Loch wounds obviously are draining his energy.
Vaid Al' Hain: Attacks Akwardly with sword [1d20+3 = 9]
Vaid Al' Hain feels the confidence bleeding away
Whitecloak: What's the matter...? Can't hit a barn? *sneers and spits in Vaid's face*
Jingo: Roll d6 vaid
Whitecloak: [1d6 = 3]
Vaid Al' Hain: [1d6 = 3]
Jingo: again!
Whitecloak: [1d6 = 3]
Vaid Al' Hain: [1d6 = 4]
Jingo: you win! you die!
Whitecloak: Longsword [1d20+4 = 9]
Longsword [9]
Vaid Al' Hain But the rage comes back, and his anger quickly wells from the insults
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): miss!
Campaign saved.
Vaid Al' Hain: Ha!
Seeing the man wounded a second time, the whitecloak smiles.
Vaid Al' Hain: I'll show you a barn!
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): huh?
Whitecloak: I'm going to enjoy this *to Maer*
Whitecloak: Longsword [1d20+4 = 9]
Longsword [9]
Eliesanna Dancing back and forth she looks for an opening and then darts the blade through a slit in his armor.
Maer Loch: your pathetic attempts at purifying the world are at an end, child of Laman.
Eliesanna: Rapier [1d20+6 = 7]
Vaid Al' Hain Gathers up a big wad of spit, and hucks it into the whitecloaks face. I'll show you!
Eliesanna: Rapier [7]
But the man shifted at the last moment and parried the blade
Maer Loch
Jingo: stunned maer.
Vaid Al' Hain
WickerCat (Maer Loch): why am I stunned?
Jingo: you took wound last time.
WickerCat (Maer Loch): can I get rid of those?
Vaid Al' Hain Smiles a moment, then flips his blade around as he weaves dancing strands of air around the man's legs
Yes if you spend a convic to remove stunned condition.
Maer Loch: nevermind
Vaid Al' Hain: DC 15
Eliesanna: Reflex save [1d20+3 = 13]
You feel the weaves wrap tightly around the man.
Vaid Al' Hain chuckles to himself
Whitecloak: Wha--? *surprised*
Vaid Al' Hain motions for Eliesanna to hit him while distracted
Jingo: depending on the size of the weave you can immobilize him completely.
Maer Loch notices his clothing soaked in blood and wonders whose it is. Oh, it's mine, he realizes in a moment. What if I die? What if I can't see my sept again?
Vaid Al' Hain: What's the matter? You're afraid?
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): (I don't want to... this is easier to explain away)
Maer Loch 's mind swims
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): at least to Eliessana
Whitecloak: Not while I still have a blade to use!
Whitecloak slashes out at Vaid
Whitecloak: Longsword [1d20+4 = 12]
Longsword [12]
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): (he should have a negative for not being able to move his feet, both to attack and defense)
Campaign saved.
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): miss
Whitecloak Smiles cruely at Maer....
Whitecloak: Longsword [1d20+4 = 5]
Longsword [5]
Whitecloak ... then frowns as his blade swishes through emtpy air
Maer Loch bats it away while stumbling
Whitecloak: Rapier [1d20+6 = 24]
Whitecloak: Rapier damage [1d20+2 = 5]
Maer Loch: (from his own wounds)
Eliesanna her blade sneaks through his guard, piercing his flesh, but not vitally admaging.
Maer Loch
Maer Loch begins to laugh
WickerCat (Maer Loch): can I get rid of the wounds?
Jingo: if you spend 1 convic you can attempt a recovery check on the worst wound, otherwise you have to wait an hour to try
WickerCat (Maer Loch): i'll try that
Jingo: Ok. It's a CON check, so roll CON DC 10
Maer Loch: [1d20 = 3]
WickerCat (Maer Loch): lame
Jingo: You can still act though but are still woundedl
Jingo: so wounded but not stunned.
Maer Loch: attack! [1d20+9 = 24]
hit!
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): nice
Maer Loch: [1d20+4 = 20]
Jingo: describe it oh great warrior!
Vaid Al' Hain
Campaign saved.
Vaid Al' Hain Charges and tackles the man, rolling on the ground with him...
Vaid Al' Hain But uses strands of air to bind him instead of his own strength
Vaid Al' Hain: DC 16!
Eliesanna: [1d20 = 3]
The man's arms were pinned to his side as he collapsed to the ground Vaid attop him.
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): ya!
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): just wait to see how I finish him off
Vaid had him now completely bound and at his mercy.
The power raged within him aching to be used.
Maer Loch as the whitecloak prepares for his next stroke, Maer parries and drives is spear into the neck of the valiant whitecloak, severing the spinal cord from the brain
Shocked eyes stare at Maer as the soul fled the now lifeless body
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): jared, what do I have to do to tie off a weave? What action?
Jingo: doesn't say. i'll rule a move action
Campaign saved.
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): k, I tie it off during my last turn
struggles fuitley against the bonds of air as hard as iron and steel melded
Vaid Al' Hain
Vaid Al' Hain: So, you thought you were so great, did you?
Whitecloak: What... what have you done?
Vaid Al' Hain: You thought you could just take the law into your own hands?
Vaid Al' Hain: That you could punish innocent people?
Vaid Al' Hain: People who have done nothing?
Vaid Al' Hain: That you could trample them under the hooves of your political machinations?
You can hear the sounds of screaming and additional hoof beats drawing near the alley way from whence the squad of Whitecloaks came.
Vaid Al' Hain Glances over his shoulder to see how closely Eliesanna is watching
Whitecloak: innocent people!
Whitecloak: Bah... they attacked the palace. We're protecting the panarch from revolt you fool!
Vaid Al' Hain: Your organization is corrupt to the core... ou brainwashed, idiotic ... stupid
Eliesanna: Ummm.... more of them unless we move. *she's looking down the street, not payuing attention*
Maer Loch: let's kill him and get it done with...we have things to do
Vaid Al' Hain turns back to him and smiles
Whitecloak his eyes go wide
Vaid Al' Hain Stabs him in the chest
Whitecloak: No... please... I---
Vaid Al' Hain: (Was going to do something else, but Maer was watching)
The lifeblood flows from his body, pooling about your feet.
Maer Loch: you what?
Vaid Al' Hain Wipes his sword on his cloak, then stands up
Vaid Al' Hain: let's go
WickerCat (Maer Loch): unusually like? why is his blood pooling?
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): He's just being dramatic
Eliesanna: It's about time... we should've just ran in the first place.
Jingo: cause he stabbed him.... blood everywhere...
Vaid Al' Hain Looks down at the man at his feet..> he looks so innocent ... dead like that
Vaid Al' Hain Faces flash through his mind
Maer Loch: i was bound by a previous narration to fight, my apologies, apprentice wise one.
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): huh?
Eliesanna: I am not a Wise One! Light who'd wish that on herself?
Campaign saved.
Eliesanna: Come on!
Maer Loch: oh right. i was thinking of someone else
Eliesanna dart's down an even smaller alley way.
Vaid Al' Hain Looks over his shoulder and follows Eliesanna hesitantly
Vaid Al' Hain: Maer... are you alright?
Vaid Al' Hain: You look... wounded
Eliesanna: Light... he's hurt. Badly. We should get him back to Maeslyn.
Maer Loch: just a little tired, that's all.
Eliesanna: Except we got separated.
Vaid Al' Hain: Where is she, by the way?
Maer Loch stumbles and catches himself on a wall
Eliesanna shrugs
Vaid Al' Hain: And aren't we supposed to be getting into the palace?
Vaid Al' Hain: Maer?
Vaid Al' Hain Goes over there to support him
Eliesanna: Well, that was Maer's plan I think by whipping up this riot.
Maer Loch: let's go...
Vaid Al' Hain: let's sneak in before it's too late
Eliesanna: It might be doable... but-- *shrugs and follows*
Vaid Al' Hain: All this death! For nothing?
Vaid Al' Hain: What are we doing then?
Maer Loch: we're going in!
Peering out of a street you can see the whitecloaks are obvioiusly winning the fight. The gates however are shut and barred.
Maer Loch: what are you yelling for?
Vaid Al' Hain: nothing... I'm fine
With the panarch's own guards in the courtyard.
Vaid Al' Hain: Hmm
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): Maer, you are skilled in the ninja arts.... What should we do?
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): Are there any other ways in?
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): I don't remember why we WANT to get in
Maer Loch: notice [1d20+6 = 20]
A patrol passed by their alley way at a gallop plunging into a pack of peasants driving them down the street, scattering them like quail.
Vaid Al' Hain: Gather INformation [1d20+10 = 11]
GM: The idea was to meet with the panarch and talk to her, about a threat to her life. Vaid overheard a plot between this Belayne character and Carradin in the Garden of the Silver Breezes
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): oh, right
Campaign saved.
WickerCat (Maer Loch): that would have been nice at the beginning
Vaid Al' Hain: there has got to be an easier way than this ... even if we could get inside, we'd never find the panarch
WickerCat (Maer Loch): maybe I just missed it
Vaid Al' Hain: what if we just pose as servants or something?
WickerCat (Maer Loch): we can talk to someone...?
Eliesanna: Well normally the gates would be open-- but it seems this riot has only closed the place up like an eggshell.
Vaid Al' Hain: Yeah, Maer, since I've known you, this is the stupidest idea you've had
Jingo: who do you wnat to talk to... peasansts are screaming and running past your hiding place, being chaced by the occasional WC.
Maer Loch: i'm out of ideas...
Vaid Al' Hain: good
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): hehe
-> Maer Loch: you do notice a part of the outer palace wall that seems to be unwatched at the moment
Maer Loch: perhaps we can scale the wall
Vaid Al' Hain: hmm
Vaid Al' Hain: true
Maer Loch i think I might see a place for just such an attempt
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): Is there aplace that looks scalable?
Maer Loch: possibly...
Maer points it out to you and there is a part that isn't being watched. Although "scaleable" is another matter.
Maer Loch: brb
Vaid Al' Hain: Is there any rope nearby?
Jingo: Roll a search in the box.
Jingo: that's the little box next to the chat. it's for sending hidden rolls to GM
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): it's plus 1
Jingo: that's the little box next to the chat. it's for sending hidden rolls to GM
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): can I see the roll?
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): Like, the face that is showing... is that what I got?
Peering through a window, Vaid can see a coil of rope.
Jingo: no.
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): perfect!
Vaid Al' Hain: perfect!
Vaid Al' Hain: Opens the window and reaches for it
Campaign saved.
The window is locked
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): are any lights on inside?
seems to be a workshop of sorts.
WickerCat (Maer Loch): back
No lights.
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): latch on the inside?
yes
Vaid Al' Hain picks up a rock, smashes the window with it
Vaid Al' Hain reaches through the window and opens the latch
Vaid Al' Hain Quickly grabs the rope
Vaid Al' Hain: time to go!
With all the noise going on no one seems to notice another window breaking.
Maer Loch: notice for guards or anything nearby [1d20+6 = 23]
Maer Loch: i'll climb up and secure it...
Vaid Al' Hain starts toward where Maer pointed
Vaid Al' Hain: good idea
Vaid Al' Hain hands Maer the rope
Maer Loch: i'll spend one convic to get rid of my wound
Maer Loch: [1d20 = 19]
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): ! nice
Maer Loch: brb gotta pray.
Maer Loch: [1d20+8 = 28]
Maer Loch: that's a climb
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): wow
Maer quickly fastens the rope about a ballustrade and clickly clamberst o the topl
Eliesanna: So we are going to be as stupid as we can be. *sighs*. Men...
Vaid Al' Hain: You go next Eliesanna
Vaid Al' Hain: do you have a better idea/
Eliesanna: Let the panarch die? Ok ok... I'll go.
Eliesanna: [1d20 = 17]
Campaign saved.
Eliesanna placing the rapier back inside her scabbard, she easily climbs to the top and crouches down low to not be seen.
Eliesanna: Come on Vaid.
Vaid Al' Hain: Alright... don't rush me
Vaid Al' Hain: Climbs the rope
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): (need to roll?)
Jingo: Yes.
Vaid Al' Hain: climb [1d20+1 = 10]
It takes you a little longer, but you manage to scale up the wall.
Vaid Al' Hain gets to the top, breathing heavy
Vaid Al' Hain: are we ... clear?
The three stood atop the outer walls of the panarch's palace. Inside was the courtyard.
Vaid Al' Hain: is the inner palace connected to this wall anywhere?
Near the gates were where most of the panarch's guards.... were stationed the rest of the grounds were relatively emtpy.
The inner palace is a separate building...
Vaid Al' Hain: maybe your diversion wasn't such a bad idea after all, maer
Maer Loch: talking with the wife...Jared take over for me for a while
Vaid Al' Hain: Should try to find another door?
Maer nods and surveys the grounds
Vaid Al' Hain: Notice [1d20+1 = 2]
Vaid Al' Hain: ha
Maer: There are still patrols see there. *his sharp eyes show a couple of guards moving through [1d20 = 5]
Maer: Yes. The main gates won't work. Too well guarded, even if they are only wetlanders.
Maer: [1d20 = 14]
Vaid Al' Hain Or... Vaid thinks to himself.. I could clear the gate
Vaid Al' Hain no...
Vaid Al' Hain: do you see another Maer?
Campaign saved.
Eliesanna: points to a window on the second floor. We could try that. If we could find some way to get there without being seen.
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): How exposed is it?
Looking down you do see two guards patroling below. They're looking quite alert.
If you got past them.... and then climbed...and then managd to remain silent...well, it might work.
Vaid Al' Hain: Do you think the others would notice if we tried to shoot them?
Vaid Al' Hain pats his crossbow
Eliesanna: Only if they made a sound. But it seems a silly way to warn the panarch by killing her own guards.
Vaid Al' Hain: oh, that's true..
Vaid Al' Hain: right
Vaid Al' Hain feels stupid
Eliesanna gives him a superior look
Vaid Al' Hain: Well, let's try our luck sneaking then,
Eliesanna: Right... we'll need the Dark Ones Own Luck for this I'm afraid.
Vaid Al' Hain: Why can't we just deliver a message to her? Do we think she's going to beleive us just because we managed to get past all her guards?
Eliesanna: I suppose we could. That might work. But I wonder how many death threats she recieves daily that dont' ammount to anything. This is Tanchico after all.
Vaid Al' Hain: true
Vaid Al' Hain: Alright, well, no sense it blowing it once everyone has already gone
Vaid Al' Hain: I'll go first
Vaid Al' Hain Shakes his head as he lets himself down from the wall... What was he turning into?
Vaid Al' Hain: Move Silently [1d20+6 = 25]
Eliesanna: [1d20 = 17]
Eliesanna: Vaid went first, followed by Eliesanna, and then Maer. [1d20 = 7]
Vaid went first, followed by Eliesanna, and then Maer.
Campaign saved.
The guards moved past and with all the sound going on, the ocassional branch snapping didn't give the heros away. They made it to the inner palace wall.
Vaid Al' Hain: Nicely done
Eliesanna puts her back to the wall and glances up to the window
Eliesanna: Blood and ashes but this has got to be the most insane thing I've ever done.
Vaid Al' Hain caught up in the excitement of it all, Vaid has no time to reflect on his anger
Vaid Al' Hain: This is great! Those guys didn't stand a chance
Vaid Al' Hain: Now, how are we going to get through the window?
Vaid Al' Hain: Maer, feel like climbing again?
Maer: We'll need to booste someone up there. A human tower. Three high should do it.
Maer: Nothing to wrap the rope around there.
Vaid Al' Hain: well, that would only get one of us in there
Vaid Al' Hain: unless you're a lot stronger than I pegged you for
Jingo: GM starts the circus music.
Maer: Once one is up, the others could be pulled up.... I think. *muses*
Vaid Al' Hain: Alright, well, we can try it
Vaid Al' Hain: but hurry
Maer: Alright.
Vaid crouched and boosted Eliesanna atop him and then Maer starrted to clamber up.
Jingo: roll Acrobatics.
Vaid Al' Hain: me?
Vaid Al' Hain: nice
Vaid Al' Hain: Acrobatics [1d20+1 = 6]
Vaid Al' Hain: what is the DC?
Maer: [1d20 = 4]
Maer: [1d20 = 13]
Vaid Al' Hain: Hmm... I don't think I can make it
Campaign saved.
For a brief moment the comical scene went back and forth until Maer jumped down shaking his head.
Maer: Ah... better idea.
Vaid Al' Hain: Oh?
I stand atop your back and you heave me up. I'll catch and grab the ledge. Then pull you all up on the rope.
Maer: I stand atop your back and you heave me up. I'll catch and grab the ledge. Then pull you all up on the rope.
Vaid Al' Hain: that might work
So do STR check Vaid.
Vaid Al' Hain: Strength [1d20+1 = 15]
Maer: [1d20 = 2]
Vaid heaved with all his might and at his height, Maer lept up catching one hand on the ledge. He dangled precariously for a moment and then slowly inch by inch began to pull himself up.
Jingo: roll notice
Vaid Al' Hain: nice catch!
Vaid Al' Hain: notice [1d20+1 = 21]
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): no problem!
Vaid heard footsteps! The guards were coming around again!
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): shoot!
There were fortunatley some bushes and ponds nearby.
Vaid Al' Hain: Looks around for somewhere to hide
Vaid Al' Hain dives into the bushes
Eliesanna: [1d20 = 9]
Vaid Al' Hain: [1d20+6 = 8]
Vaid Al' Hain: hmm...
Eliesanna: [1d20 = 1]
WickerCat (Maer Loch): back!
Eliesanna: The guards [1d20 = 14]
WickerCat (Maer Loch): sorry...long talk
GM: Let me fill you in maer
You've sneaked across the gardens of the inner courtyard and are bent on scaling the wall to reach a window on the second story.
Campaign saved.
WickerCat (Maer Loch): alrighty
Maer is pulling hismelf up onto the ledge being pushed up by Vaid when below his feet he sees two guards. hanging there they haven' tseemed to notice him. Especially since they seem to be peerign intently into some bushes... bushes where you can see Vaid and Eliesanna are supposedly higding. But they hide like a hog in a clothing factory.
That is to say... not well at all.
Guard: Ho there!
Vaid Al' Hain: Thinking... thinking...
Guard: The guards approach the bushes, long pikes pointing out.
Eliesanna: ummm.... *quickly whispers into his ear*...
Vaid Al' Hain: (so, they've obviously seen us?)
Maer Loch: i jump on them...arms out...
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): or just maybe?
Eliesanna: We're lovers... in a bush... hey, it's not the worst plan.
Vaid Al' Hain Looks shocked for a second
Maer Loch: like in the movies
Vaid Al' Hain Then smiles
Jingo: Do a melee attack Maer.
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): I thought Eliesanna was up top already
Jingo: no... she didn't make it. only maer is up.
Maer Loch: jump attack! [1d20+8 = 19]
Jingo: and now he's cmoing back down
Caught by surprise Maer lands atop the guards sending them sprawling.
WickerCat (Maer Loch): damage?
1d20+STR non lethal
Maer Loch: [1d20+3 = 5]
WickerCat (Maer Loch): Grrrrr
Jingo: They're surprised, so you can get one free action on them.
Vaid Al' Hain: As soon as he jumps, can I act too?
Jingo: roll init
WickerCat (Maer Loch): attack!
Campaign saved.
Maer Loch: attack!!! [1d20+9 = 20]
Maer Loch: (w/spear)
hit.
Maer Loch: [1d20+4 = 23]
Vaid Al' Hain: Initiative [1d20+1 = 20]
One of them dies without a sound.
Vaid leaps up before the other can act.
Maer Loch: haiya!
Vaid Al' Hain: Sword! [1d20+3 = 8]
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): ha!
WickerCat (Maer Loch): wow, that's lame
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): I am awesome!
The other guard brings his halberd up in time blocking the blow...
Jingo: of coruse there is conviction for extra action
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): No, that's ok
Eliesanna whipped out her rapier and darted it the man's scale armor...or tries to.
Guard: Rapier [1d20+6 = 17]
Guard: Rapier damage [1d20+2 = 21]
Guard: Rapier damage [21]
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): nice
Vaid Al' Hain Looks at his sword
The rapier takes him in the neck and he falls into a pond gurgling
WickerCat (Maer Loch): youch...
Maer Loch: your *sword* (says disgustedly) seems to be broken, friend
Thankfully it seems the sounds from the street are covering up any sounds made by the recent altercation
Guard: LS Damage [1d20+4 = 22]
Eliesanna: No what?
Vaid Al' Hain: yes, I ought to have it looked at
Eliesanna: Now what?
Vaid Al' Hain: Let's get back in that window!
Eliesanna looking quickly about, crouched low with rapier in hand.
Vaid Al' Hain drags the bodies behind the bush
Maer Loch jumps up the wall into the window...
Campaign saved.
They're dressed in scale male with helms and wear vertically striped tunics over their armor
Maer Loch: jump/climb [1d20+8 = 19]
They both had halberds and short swords
Jingo: Vaid do a STR check to help him get up again.
Vaid Al' Hain: Strength [1d20+1 = 5]
Vaid Al' Hain: I'll roll conviction
Vaid Al' Hain: [1d20+1 = 21]
Vaid Al' Hain: sweet
Eliesanna: ah hah!
Maer Loch: haiya!
Eliesanna: Well done Maer!
Eliesanna eyes him nervously as he begins to pull himself up the ledge.
Maer you're now atop the ledge with the coil of rope around your back.
WickerCat (Maer Loch): is there any place to attach the rope?
Vaid Al' Hain Lifts himself with all his strength... At least he's skinny
Right now now. There's a stained glass window in front of you that sends a shaft of nearly mid day light down onto an ornate looking chamber.
WickerCat (Maer Loch): right now now?
Eliesanna: now no.
WickerCat (Maer Loch): k
Jingo: Do a STR check in the box to pull up Vaid. DC 10.
WickerCat (Maer Loch): can I brace myselx in the window?
Maer Loch: [1d20+3 = 6]
Vaid Al' Hain: oh, was the other roll my climb?
No that was to push Maer up. It's up to him to pull you.
Maer can't get a good grip, his feet keep slipping.
WickerCat (Maer Loch): why do I have to pull him up?
WickerCat (Maer Loch): don't I just have to stay still? are his arms broken?
Jingo: So you're not alone or separated.
Campaign saved.
Jingo: You can stay still and he can climb that's fine.
Jingo: The issue is that you can't seem to brace it where you are.
WickerCat (Maer Loch): pulling is silly. I should just brace myself.
WickerCat (Maer Loch): oh I see.
Vaid Al' Hain: I thought I rolled Strenght already?
Vaid Al' Hain: That's what I used my conviction for
Jingo: str was to send Maer up from your back because he couldn't reach it by himself.
Jingo: otherwise he wouldn't be up there.
WickerCat (Maer Loch): well, can I see any other way to brace?
Maer Loch: is there a latch for the window?
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): I need to go to bed soon
Jingo: Yes. roll a luck though 1 d20
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): I'm tired
Jingo: right ho. we'll just wrap this up.
Maer Loch: luck [1d20 = 11]
Maer could see that inside the room was a bed post. That would make it easy to brace against.
Vaid Al' Hain: what do I have to roll to climb up? This is embarrasing?
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): I already rolled once... what else do I need?
Jingo: once he braces just a climb, you're wondering what's taking him so long.
WickerCat (Maer Loch): so can I get inside?
Jingo: The window is shut, if you can open it somehow yes.
Jingo: Latch is on the inside
WickerCat (Maer Loch): can I knock out a stained pane?
Jingo: you can do whatever you want.
Maer Loch: that's what I do...
Eliesanna: Looks up at Maer peering about....
WickerCat (Maer Loch): quietly...
Eliesanna: Light.
Jingo: roll stealth
Eliesanna: [1d20 = 12]
Maer Loch: stealth [1d20+10 = 16]
Campaign saved.
Maer knocks out a pane of glass and quickly unlatches the window
WickerCat (Maer Loch): i go inside and tie the rope
Aftera few moments he gives a tug to let them know to climb. Vaid quickly ascends to the top followed by Eliesanna.
Maer Loch: welcome friends...
You stand inside an ornate bed chamber. With rugs and other items of opulence surrounding you.
Maer Loch cuts the rope...
Eliesanna: Well well well... we're inside. Wonder of wonders.
sean (Vaid Al' Hain): nice
Eliesanna: Umm. You could have just pulled it up.
Eliesanna: Maybe we could have used it.
Eliesanna: *shrugs*
Vaid Al' Hain: yeah
Maer Loch: hmm...
Jingo: lol
Jingo: Ok we'll stop here.
Maer Loch: that's what drapes and sheets are for...
Vaid Al' Hain: k
Eliesanna: Nice job. You all get 500 xps.
Eliesanna: [500]
Eliesanna: [500]
WickerCat (Maer Loch): awesome.
Maer Loch: Howard would be happy
Vaid Al' Hain: hmm
Jingo: Yup. Good work on getting inside. Looks like the riot worked after alll... more or less...
Vaid Al' Hain: long way to go
Maer Loch: yup yup yup...that was my idea...
Vaid Al' Hain: nice work
Vaid Al' Hain: Well, I'm off..I'm really tired
Maer Loch: night, sean
Eliesanna: Fare the well.
Maer Loch: have a good night
Vaid Al' Hain: good night guys!
Maer Loch: thanks, Jared.
Vaid Al' Hain: thanks Jared!
Vaid Al' Hain: That was fun
Maer Loch: you're awesome.
GM: Sure thing. Laters all.
Vaid Al' Hain: and how
