'Prophecies of the Dragon' - The Campaign
This is an email campaign I'm running that borrows extensively from the 'Prophecies of the Dragon' campaign module.
Background
"The Wheel Turns.... Heroes are born. This story deals with three such heroes. The first, Maeslyn Al'quiere, an Accepted of the White Tower in Tar Valon. The second, Maer Loch, a feared warrior and scout of the Three Fold Land, Fiznak of Shienar, a lovesick, Shienaran boarderlander who desires Maeslyn for his own, and most recently Vaid Al' Hain a wandering enigma who seeks to rid himself of the ghosts of his past.
Maeslyn and Maer's destinies became intertwined when Maeslyn saved Maer Loch's life from a vicious Trolloc attack near a small village close to the Spine of the World. Now Maer strives to fulfill his To'h, his debt, to this "Wise One" as he calls her. And so he stays by her side, vowing to protect her.
After recuperating, Maeslyn receives word that she must meet with a sister from the White Tower in Caemlyn as soon as possible. The adventure finds the two travellers on the road some 400 miles north of Caemlyn. Some distance off the road they found a campsite with dead horses, but no travellers. Seeing a ruined two story tower in the distance they decide to investigate. Passing through a courtyard where ravens stared at them with beady eyes they entered the bottom level, and after a multitude of large rats surrounded them and attacked them from the darkness they dashed upstairs..."
Thus began WOT Adv 1.
GM Note - I initially started this this adventure for a friend of mine who plays the Maer Loch character. I myself played Maeslyn. We started playing over the table, but after that session, I decided it would be more fun to turn it into an email adventure. That's why it starts when and where it does. The adventures, until Fiznak (our second player) joined up in Adv, were told in 2nd person, with the "you" being Maer Loch (at least until WOT Adv 90 when Fiznak joined the party--thereafter I switched to past tense, third person). Each adventure is prefaced by "WOT Adv" short for "Wheel of Time Adventure". Each "Adv" essentially represents a single email that I sent out. After I received replies from the players, I would write things up and then next Adv would begin.
